Emily Lazar "YOUR MISTAKE" MASTERED AT THE LODGE

World renowned mastering engineer, Emily Lazar, performed mastering duties on the new Stealing Heather album, "Your Mistake", due out spring of 2010. Emily has worked with some of the biggest artists in music history including Lou Reed, Depeche Mode, Morrissey, Garbage, The Shins, Nada Surf, and so many others.

Emily had been slated for mastering duties on the band's first album, "Six Minutes To Somewhere" but was unable to perform those duties due to other engagements. Joshua really wanted a woman's touch on the final outcome of this album and arranged to have Emily put her stamp on "Your Mistake" over the summer of 2009.

Although Emily agreed that the mixes were fantastic, she decided to take the album a step further and print each song to analog tape in order to bring out the warmth and richness of the music.

Joshua and Scotty attended the session on Oct. 7th, 2009 at Emily's studio, The Lodge, in New York City and the band is thrilled with the final outcome. Joe LaPorta was on hand to assist Emily throughout the process.
